Ages 4–6 · Junior Starter
Parent-guided first puzzles for ages 4–6
A calm introduction to spatial reasoning. Concrete shapes, friendly rotations, and parent-guided first steps help young children understand the puzzle before they start.
What children practice
Junior Starter puzzles use concrete, easy-to-name shapes (squares, bars, simple L-shapes). Children practice matching shapes to clear target outlines, turning pieces one step at a time, and completing a puzzle area without time pressure or score comparison.
Parent-guided first steps
At ages 4–6, many children benefit from a short parent-guided start. Ask questions like 'Which piece looks like it fits the corner?' or 'What happens if you turn this one?' The goal is to make the puzzle feel like a shared activity, not a test.
How to start
Every Junior Starter path includes a free First Try puzzle. This optional onboarding level shows children how to drag, rotate, and fill the target area — no sign-up, no timer, and no pressure.
